Jacket and skirt from used jeans

This was a really tough job overall. Especially sewing the buttons on the jacket took time, even though I did it entirely by  sewing machine.

And then I got inspired to make decorative things like that. I sewed gold thread by hand, etc.

I also got inspired to buy a tie from a flea market, from which I cut out some patterns, and sewed them onto the jacket.

The plan is that I will also make a bag and a shirt. Well, they haven't even started yet, so it will be a long time before they see the light of day. 

I am happy with this jacket and skirt. I' d love to use this skirt pattern again. Maybe for quilt work.
